Editorial independence and commercial transparency
The science comes first. Optional equipment guidance helps readers move from exploring online to observing outdoors. It must never alter a measured coordinate, replace a source attribution or interrupt the interactive universe.
Evidence, interpretation and equipment guidance
Scientific pages name their underlying datasets and distinguish observations, derived values and reconstructions. Equipment guides use linked manufacturer specifications, explicit arithmetic and original discussion of practical trade-offs. Specifications are not laboratory measurements made by COSMOS.
We do not claim hands-on testing when none took place, invent reviewer credentials, publish fabricated ratings or promise that an instrument will reproduce a spacecraft photograph. Examples illustrate design choices rather than a pay-to-win ranking. Readers should check current specifications, delivered cost and local support before buying.
Current commercial status
Advertising and affiliate tracking are inactive. Manufacturer links in the current guides are ordinary reference links, with no commission relationship. There is no donation system, paid membership or purchase requirement for the core explorer.
If an affiliate program is approved later, affected links must have a nearby disclosure that COSMOS may earn a commission, and use the appropriate sponsored-link attribute. Sponsored material must be clearly identified. Commercial partners cannot change the underlying scientific data or remove limitations.
Rules for any future advertising
Advertising is restricted to deliberately chosen informational articles, visually separated from the editorial content. No ad may cover the universe, Moon landing, navigation, movement or search controls. We will not enable uncontrolled Auto ads or full-screen interruptions.
Activation requires a real publisher account, site approval, an approved contact channel, suitable regional consent controls and browser checks. A configuration placeholder is not an approval. Revenue will be reported only from official publisher and affiliate statements, not inferred from clicks.
Corrections and independence
Guides carry update dates and source links so a reader can check a specification or distinguish an editorial judgement from a reported fact. COSMOS is an independent project, not NASA, ESA, JPL, a telescope manufacturer or an official representative of its data providers.
For corrections, business enquiries or privacy requests, contact itsmrrishi11@gmail.com, linked in the page footer. Advertising and affiliate tracking remain inactive until the relevant accounts are approved and a separate activation review is complete.
